We at Windwood believe in the power of prayer. Our commitment and passion to pray undergirds everything we do as individual followers of Christ and as a church body. We see it as a privilege and extension of God’s love for us to pray and care for each other. To submit your prayer request or praise, please email our Prayer Partners.
If you have further needs along with your prayer request, please email our Congregational Care Team. For more about care, click here.
What is Prayer?
Prayer is most simply the way we communicate to God. By prayer we learn to know, listen and trust God as we deepen our personal relationship with Him. The basic forms of prayer are praise, petition (supplication), intercession, and thanksgiving.
“The primary purpose of prayer is not to change circumstances; the primary purpose of prayer is to change us! But either way, the chief objective remains the same: to glorify God in any and every situation. ”
— Mark Batterson
Why do we pray?
Prayer is not about informing God of events, needs or our desires. Prayer is about drawing closer to God through Jesus and learning to seek His will and trust His heart. Prayer is how we come to know him in a personal relationship and give Him our burdens to carry, our hurts to heal and our praises to rejoice together.
