Stewardship: The Spiritual Discipline of Generosity

Stewardship is how we acknowledge God as the Creator, owner, and Master of all we have. In stewardship, we manage our blessings of time, talent, and treasures by using them to His glory, and in accordance with His Word. In joyful and grateful response, we give back a portion of what God has gifted to us. In our giving, we join in what God is doing in His Kingdom. We invite everyone to join in the discipline of generosity by practicing stewardship.

How to Give:

Tithes, offerings, and payments can be made in a variety of ways. If you are giving to a designated program or ministry, or are making a payment for a fee, please specify that in the memo line of your check, online giving, or text. Please remember that gifts made with a credit card incur a fee to the church.

2025/2026 Pledge Season

Our financial calendar runs from August 1st - July 31st. We create our budget based on pledges received and other projected offerings. We ask that members turn in a pledge card for us to best estimate our revenue and thus plan for our ministry and program expenses.

Pledge Card Sunday is April 13th at all services

We encourage you to bring your pledge card (even if you submitted it online) to our Palm Sunday Celebration. There will be a time for you to present your card as an act of giving.

What does my giving support?

Your tithes and offerings support our ministry and programs that God is leading us to here at Windwood.

How much of the budget is allocated to missions?

Windwood believes in following the commands of Scripture. We are to use our time, talent and treasure to be “witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We spend over 14% of our budget to spread the Good News of the gospel.

How does the budget support the mission and vision of Windwood?

Windwood’s mission is to be Christ-centered, Family Focused, and God-Glorifying. All curricula and programming have Christ at their foundation. We have programs for children ranging from soccer to Trail Life as well as education through our Adventure Preschool and Kardia Christian Academy. For adults, our 55+ group encourages seniors to continue their faith journey and continue to be a vital part of the Kingdom.

Our ministry and programs—which includes our wonderful property and facilities are used to help other non-profits support connection through activities and development of the family.

All we do should be intended to bring all the glory He is due.

How is the church supposed to use funds?

The church is to glorify God and equip the saints for their work in the Kingdom.

We strive to take care of the physical needs our our community by hosting a Meals On Wheels distribution center, as well as supporting other local mission partners.

We also support the emotional health of our community through our partnership with A Future and a Hope Ministries.
